Volkswagen Philippines to Launch Automatic-Equipped, Wagon-Bodied Santana this November
With customer inquiries at record highs, more and more people are starting to consider Volkswagen as their next new car. Interest is high among their new nameplates—Santana, Lavida, and Tiguan, and this has prompted Volkswagen Philippines to introduce new variants by November.
The German automaker has announced that by November of this year, the Santana will be joined by two additional variants, both equipped with an automatic transmission: the Comfortline AT and the Trendline AT.
Additionally, the much-awaited Santana GTS—a wagon version of the Santana is set to officially join the line-up. Earlier, it’s already been revealed that the Santana GTS will be powered by a slightly larger engine, a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder mated to a 6-speed automatic. If pricing remains the same as the one quoted during the launch, this will be priced at an affordable P 999,000.
Finally, the Lamando executive sedan is set to go on retail as well. It will be available in two variants, the Highline and Comfortline, both equipped with a 1.4-liter TSI engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic. Like the Santana GTS, if pricing remains the same as what Volkswagen Philippines quoted during the launch, it will start at P 1,600,000.
Pricing and specification for the two-pedal Santana models will be revealed closer to the launch date.

ReplyDeleteedited: so looks like VW Phil is sticking with these models and finally discontinuing Golf and Jetta. Parang sinabi ni Honda, tigil na sila sa Civic and bebenta na lang sila ng Greiz dito.
