Caltex Philippines and HSBC Renew Partnership
Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), today announced the renewal of a long-term partnership with HSBC to continue to provide better credit card service for Filipinos motorists.
With the new deal, motorists with any type of HSBC credit card can fuel up at any participating Caltex station nationwide and get 10 percent fuel rebate during their first transaction and 3 percent in the succeeding ones for up to P 20,000 in fuel purchase a month. Fuel spend also earns cash back (for HSBC Gold Visa Credit Cards only) or bonus points which motorists can use to redeem rewards items or miles.
HSBC has been doing business in the Philippines for 143 years and has a total network of 10 branches, including those of the locally incorporated HSBC Savings Bank, located in Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao. The partnership with CPI helps retailers grow their business through HSBC’s retail credit solutions with different integrated marketing and loyalty programs such as fuel rebates for motorists.
“Caltex has been working with HSBC for 12 years now and we are excited to continue working with the global brand as they also make it a point to give their customers a better retail experience. With our industry knowledge and exciting products, Caltex patrons have a lot to look forward to in the coming years,” CPI Country Chairman Louie Zhang said.
As customers of both brands become younger and more discerning in their purchases, Caltex and HSBC made it a point to give more value to their transactions that also compliment the different lifestyles of motorists.
“Our experience working with Caltex has a long and good history, so it wasn’t a tough decision to make. We aim to provide our customers relevant benefits and features that help address their needs and aspirations. Giving customers the premium experience, has been serving both parties well since we partnered in 2006. We look forward to a more successful and lasting partnership with Caltex.” said Kris Werner, HSBC Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management for Philippines.
