UPDATED: Subaru Philippines to Launch Levorg 2.0 GT-S on September 22 (w/ 14 Photos, Specs)

UPDATE: Motor Image Pilipinas just confirmed the pricing of the all-new Levorg 2.0 GT-S (9/21).

If the demise of the Forester XT got you down, don’t worry, there’s going to be a new family-oriented turbocharged grocery getter come this September: the much-anticipated Subaru Levorg 2.0 GT-S.

Promised by Motor Image late last year, Levorg 2.0 GT-S is set for its Philippine debut at the upcoming 2018 Subaru Festival from September 22 to 23, 2018. The “Legacy Revolution Touring” gets the same mill as the WRX and this means having 265 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque to play with. Mated to a high-torque Lineartronic CVT, this means that the century sprint is done and dusted in just 6.6 seconds.

Aside from the new engine, the 2018 Levorg also gets refreshed aesthetics, improved levels of riding comfort and quietness, and better safety.

Outside, it gets the same prominent hexagonal grille and steering responsive headlights as the WRX, but gets a shapelier front bumper along with LED front fog lights and new design for the 18-inch wheels. Inside, there’s a new decorative panel on the instrument cluster and revisions done to the front console, center panel, and door grip. Like the WRX, the multi-function screen mounted atop the center portion is now bigger (5.9 inches) with crisper graphics while below it is a 7-inch touchscreen featuring the Starlink infotainment system.

Overall, expect better comfort thanks to the changes done to the suspension and steering contributing to improved ride comfort, steering stability and feel. Sound insulation has also been improved and Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist system is now standard equipment as well.

The price of the Levorg 2.0 GT-S is pegged at P 1,998,000. Meanwhile, the Levorg 1.6 GT-S remains at P 1,888,000 until supplies last.

The public can catch the 2018 Levorg 2.0 GT-S at the 2018 Subaru Festival happening at 9th Avenue Bonifacio Global City from September 22-23, 2018. This coincides with the Philippine leg of the Subaru Palm Challenge.

  1. Perhaps my only gripe is that it won't use Subaru's new platform, and still use the platform on the WRX and STI.

  2. Why remove the 2.0 turbo in forester if they will apply it to the levorg? Doesnt make any sense.

  3. A potent line up would be:

    2.0 turbo impreza
    2.0 turbo levorg
    2.0 turbo forester
2.4 turbo or 3.6 v6 legacy and outback

Its a line up no other japanese car manufacturer can match power wise.

  4. I wouldn’t buy a subaru with a CVT. Its unreliable. Stick with manual if Subaru is your choice.

    1. If you're a potential Subaru CVT buyer, one must accept the fact that he/she needs to install a CVT cooler & avoid constantly lugging the engine.

It's somewhat true but there's a solution to the problem.

this guy is a joke lol, can you see the memes and parodies coming out with his videos?

oh by the way, if my cvt decided to go and end its life, my forester XT has made me transactions worth tenfold its price so yeah, it has paid itself, but thanks for the advice.
