With Skyway O&M Corporation’s plan to eventually make the entire elevated part of Skyway passable only to Autosweep RFID users, now is a great time to get re-acquainted on how you can get one for your vehicle; after all, it saves you time when traversing the entire portion of the South Luzon Expressway and the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) Tollway.
Get Your Documents in Order
Before proceeding to any of the RFID Stations, make sure to bring the following documents:
- Photocopy of the OR/CR of the vehicle you want to enroll.
- Photocopy of any valid government-issued ID (preferably driver’s license).
- If you’re not the registered owner, bring an authorization letter from the registered owner along with a photocopy of the owner’s ID with his/her original signature.
- Download and fill up the following form: Personal Account or Business Account.
- You can also enroll your RFID to automatically debit from your credit card with this Auto Debit Arrangement Form.
Once you have all the documents in order, head to one of 19 Autosweep RFID installation sites scattered in and around the vicinity of the SLEX and STAR Tollway. For owners of multiple cars, it’s a bummer, but you have to bring the actual vehicle for RFID installation.
Once you get there, look for the Autosweep RFID kiosk (location varies per installation site). Installation is done on a first-come, first-served basis. Take note that during busy times, the Autosweep personnel may also be swamped with people wanting to reload their accounts so best allot around 15-30 minutes.
Take note that the Autosweep RFID is free, but there is a required initial load of P 500.00.
There are two kinds of RFIDs on offer—one that’s installed on the inside part your windshield glass or one that’s applied on your headlight. By default, the installer will go for the one that’s installed in the inside part of your windshield glass; however, if you have tint installed, it’s best to go for the headlight one.

Some Things You Need to Remember
While applying for an Autosweep RFID is pretty straightforward, there are some things you need to know first:
- If it’s the first time for you applying for an RFID, there’s a chance it won’t be activated right away. Activation can take anywhere between 2 hours to 12 hours. Since you entered the tollway using the cash lane, it’s advisable that you exit using the cash lane too. Try not to use the mixed ETC/CASH lane as the system make double-charge you.
- If this is your second car to enroll using the same account number, chances are your RFID will be activated right away, but still use the mixed lane just to be sure.
- You can enroll multiple cars (up to 5) using the same account name and number. This way, the balance is shared across your different cars. If you have more than 5 cars that you want to register using the same account number, you have to fill up the Vehicle Assignment Form.
- Each Autosweep RFID comes with a plastic card containing your car’s identification number and unique QR code. Keep this plastic card in the car at all times in case your RFID cannot be read for whatever reason.
- If you have insufficient balance, do not take the ETC or RFID lanes. Doing so may mean the confiscation of your RFID tag and/or vehicle card. If that happens, there are only three places you can get them, depending on which area of the Skyway you found yourself on: NAIAX and Skyway (Skyway Office, Bicutan); Alabang to Ayala Greenfield (Silangan Customer Service); STAR Tollway (STAR Tollway Lipa – Tambo).
- You can check the balance of your Autosweep RFID at any time using SMS (standard SMS rates will apply): Type AUTOSWEEP <space> BALINQ <space> PlateNumber and set to 0917 860 8655 for Globe and 0918 860 8655 for Smart.
Hello, I have a question. Paano po kung nabili lang po yung sasakyan, second hand na po at hindi na makakakuha ng authorization letter kasi wala na contact sa original owner. Ano po kailangan gawin?

ReplyDeleteThat's a different RFID. The RFID that comes with your plate number is for the LTO. You need to get an Autosweep RFID if you want to use the cashless lanes on SLEX.

ReplyDeleteIf the previous owner didn't have his Autosweep RFID deactivated yes you can use it. You can go to any stickering station and they'll tell you if the account is active or not.

ReplyDeletePwede either way. Some cars with small or upright headlights, they recommend sa windshield basta may 0.5 inch gap sa tint (recommended nila) on all sides for the RFID.

ReplyDeleteApparently, from what I've been reading, you can install the EasyTrip (north) tag yourself. No need to physically bring each vehicle. However for Autosweep (south), yes, you need to bring each vehicle to the installation site.

ReplyDelete7 days minimum. In our case though it took about 3 weeks. If you have a separate Autosweep RFID and Easytrip RFID, best to keep that na lang.

ReplyDeleteYou can try using the deed of sale (it can't be open though). You need to prove ownership kasi. If you can't, you can apply for an Autosweep to Go and switch to the Premium account after you transfer the ownership.

ReplyDeleteSir kung ang sasakyan ay nakaregister s company. Kukuha ng autorization letter coming from the company lang ba need. Hindi na po b need ng mga sec at other document to support the authorization letter. Or ok na authorization letter lang

ReplyDeletearin pogoodpm po pwede po ba eprocess ng wife ang application ng rfid kung yung car po ay name ng husband at wala po sya dto sa pinas ngaun kasi nasa barko po sya onboard. may documents po bang kailangan at yung rfid application ay name po ba ng nakapangalan sa car? thank you po.
