All-New 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL is Arriving in March
Auto Nation Group, the distributor of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and RAM has confirmed that the fifth-generation Jeep Wrangler is almost upon us. The Wrangler JL, as the model’s called, will be unveiled officially early March, more than a year after its global debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2017.
While it still carries on the tradition of being body-on-frame with solid axles front and back, the Wrangler JL has been thoroughly modernized by using materials like aluminum for its hood, doors, and tailgate.
Inside and out, it’s instantly recognizable with its “heritage-inspired” styling while managing to incorporate the latest infotainment systems and safety features.
Auto Nation Group has yet to divulge which powertrains will form the basis of the 2019 Wrangler JL line-up locally, but it’s worth noting that in the US, it’s available with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 285 horsepower and 352 Nm of torque, a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 270 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, and a 3.0-liter V6 diesel with 260 horsepower and 599 Nm of torque. In other markets, there’s also a smaller diesel option—the 2.2-liter MultiJet II that makes 200 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. All engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic.
