2019 Suzuki Jimny is a Finalist for World Car Design of the Year
At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the World Car of the Year announced the “Top Three in the World” finalists. The jury, made of 86 distinguished automotive journalists from around the world continued to whittle down the list by secret ballot based on their evaluation with each candidate as part of their professional work.
The three finalists for the World Car of the Year are the Audi e-tron, Jaguar I-PACE, and Volvo S60/V60.
While the Suzuki Jimny wasn’t shortlisted for the top prize, the plucky 2-door SUV managed to be shortlisted as the World Urban Car of the Year along with the Hyundai AH2 / Santro and Kia Soul, and World Car Design of the Year with the Jaguar I-PACE and Volvo XC40.
The 2019 Jimny will be officially launching this Friday, March 8, 2019 while The World Car of the Year will be announced in April at the New York International Auto Show.
