Autosweep RFID Provides More Convenience, Security, and Help During Emergencies
Autosweep RFID has made traveling through SLEX, Skyway, NAIAX, MCX, STAR Tollway, and TPLEX a whole lot easier thanks to its cashless and contactless payment system. And while Intelligent E-Processes Technologies Corporation (IETC), the Electronic Toll Collection service behind Autosweep has come up with a document-less Autosweep RFID to Go, they still are advising motorists to upgrade to Autosweep RFID Premium to get maximum benefits.
“It’s all about Knowing your customer,” says Ms. Nelly Argota, Head of RFID Operations, IETC. “Autosweep RFID to Go has made it more convenient for everyone to switch over to an electronic toll collection method, which is by itself 3 times faster than paying cash, but converting from Autosweep RFID to Go to Autosweep RFID Premium comes with its own set of benefits.”
Ms. Argota says that Autosweep RFID Premium users benefit from a “balance pool” that’s shared by all vehicles tied to the account. “Unlike Autosweep RFID to Go which has a separate balance per account, Autosweep RFID Premium pools them together. This is extremely convenient for multi-car households or those who run a fleet of trucks.”
Additionally, Autosweep RFID Premium users benefit from a higher level of security. Because IETC keeps a customer profile containing information such as make and model of the vehicle registered as well as contact information, customers can contact the Autosweep hotline to verify any transaction. They even receive a statement detailing the various ins-and-outs of a vehicle plying through any of their toll roads.
Most interesting of all, Ms. Argota says going for Autosweep RFID Premium can also help during emergency situations. “If a vehicle equipped with an Autosweep RFID gets into an accident on any of our expressways, we can use the contact information to help emergency services get in touch with family members.”
Having said that, Ms. Argota stresses that customer records kept by IETC are all compliant to Republic Act 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012. “You’ll be surprised by some of the requests that we get. But because we respect the Data Privacy Act, we don’t give out that sort of information. Even access to the customer database is limited.”
For current users of Autosweep RFID to Go, IETC says it’s easy to covert that into an Autosweep RFID Premium account. Motorists can simply submit the required documents (click here). The conversion is done free of charge.
Soon, IETC will offer more products for Autosweep including online loading using debit and credit cards, as well as their very own iOS and Android apps as well.

Some people from south south use the north or vice versa. Hoping DOTR would look on to it.
