Since its introduction in the Philippine market in 2015, the Foton Gratour MiniVan has been a choice of first-time car buyers who wanted something that scores high in functionality, while still being light on the pocket. This year, Foton Philippines is adding more power and features to the Gratour MiniVan making it better equipped to handle business, pleasure, and whatever else life throws at it.
From a 1.2-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine, the 2019 Foton Gratour MiniVan ups that to a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder motor. The DAM 15 DR engine produces 114 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. Mated to a 5-speed manual transmission driving the front wheels, it produces a more comfortable, capable drive. Even better, a new electric power steering system reduces parasitic power loss and improves overall stability. Along with the added power, the 2019 Gratour MiniVan also comes with added safety thanks to standard ABS with EBD.
The Gratour MiniVan’s practical nature continues with its dual sliding doors for easy ingress. Inside, it has a standard 8-seater seating capacity (2+3+3 seating). And despite a carryover wheelbase (2,710 mm), larger body dimensions mean more room. Furthermore, it has improved flexibility with its foldable third row.
Despite the added features and more powerful engine, the 2019 Foton Gratour MiniVan continues with its extremely affordable price tag: P 570,000. This makes it about P 200,000 more affordable than similarly equipped MPVs!
A vehicle with 114hp is still underpowered if its capacity is 8pax.
