At the sidelines of the Carry’s Philippine launch, Suzuki Philippines also launched a new variant of its Dzire sub-compact sedan, targeted for fleet owners: the Dzire GA.
The Dzire’s manageable proportions, surprisingly large interior room, and low cost of maintenance make it the ideal platform for taxis and ride-sharing applications. But some found its P 638,000 starting price a bit prohibitive. Well, worry no more because Suzuki is serious about wanting a piece of that fleet car pie by pricing the Dzire GA below P 550,000 or P 549,900 to be exact.
The Suzuki Dzire GA is powered by a 1.2-liter K12M engine making a healthy 82 horsepower and 115 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual is the sole transmission option.
Naturally, the more affordable price means the Dzire GA loses the fog lamps, body-colored mirrors, and door handles. It also swaps the 15-inch alloy wheels for 14-inch steelies. Inside, it gets a simpler instrument cluster and a 1-DIN audio unit.
With its strong engine performance (for its class) and generous interior size, Suzuki Philippines is confident that it’ll give complete comfort for all passengers traversing the busy streets of the metro.
