A Stock 1997 Honda Integra Type R Just Sold for P 4.28M

90’s nostalgia is in full swing as Honda Integra Type Rs are now commanding a princely sum as well. The outrageous second hand prices used to be limited to the likes of the Supra and NSX, but now, even Honda’s sporty coupe doesn’t go unnoticed.

This Championship White 1997 Acura (Honda’s luxury brand in the US) Integra Type R sold for USD 82,000 or P 4.248 million—close to the Philippine price of a brand-new A90 Toyota GR Supra. The car is all stock down to its 15-inch “performance” wheels and is free from any accidents save for minor scratches on the rear bumper. It’s also under its original owner who drove it just 6,000 miles (9,656 kilometers) in 20 years.

The 1997 Honda/Acura Integra Type R packs a 1.8-liter DOHC VTEC engine. The B18C5 engine packs 195 horsepower and screams all the way to its 8,400 rpm redline. It has a close-ratio 5-speed manual and power is routed solely to the front wheels.

It’s possible, though extremely unlikely, that other 90’s performance cars will follow in the Supra and NSX’s foot steps.
