Chery Re-enters Philippine Market with a 1-Million Kilometer Warranty On Its Powertrain
United Asia Automotive Group (UAAGI), the newly appointed exclusive distributor of Chery vehicles in the country wasted no time in revealing details about its all SUV line-up. With the official brand launch happening tonight, UAAGI ran a series of full-page ads in leading newspapers outlining their entire line-up and pricing.
The line-up starts with the Tiggo 2, their sub-compact crossover offering. The Tiggo 2 comes with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine making 106 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque. This engine, named one of China’s Top Best Engines is mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. Pricing starts at jut P 695,000.
Moving up, there’s the Tiggo 5X, yet another sub-compact SUV category. This model also comes with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. In this version, it makes 114 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. The Tiggo 5X also comes with a choice between a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission all for a starting price of just P 818,000.
Those looking for something bigger may be enticed by the Tiggo 7. Despite its name, the Tiggo 7 is the brand’s flagship 5-seater SUV powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. In this guise, it makes 145 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque mated to a dry-type 6-speed dual clutch automatic. The price for this compact SUV is P 1,195,000.
Finally, there’s the flagship Tiggo 8. Like the Tiggo 7, despite its naming convention, this one is Chery’s mid-sized 7-seater crossover. It features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine making 145 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque. This engine is also mated to a 6-speed dual clutch automatic. Among all the models, Chery has revealed the most detail about the Tiggo 8. For its P 1,280,000 starting price tag, it offers a smart keyless entry system, full LCD instrumentation, panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear sensors, and leather seats.
Regardless of choice, all Chery vehicles sold by UAAGI carries a 5-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, a free 3-year preventive maintenance service package, and a 10-year or 1-million-kilometer warranty on its engine and drivetrain.
More information will be revealed tonight.

ReplyDeleteChery's vehicle line up and pricing are very enticing and their service offers are amazing. The million peso question is, will there be alot of filipinos wanting this as their first car? Just my opinion.🤔
ReplyDeleteAmong all Chinese Car manufacturer the MG, GAC and Geely have the best product.
ReplyDeleteI know UAAGI and Chery wanted to put back trust onto Chery but 1M km mileage? Which car today can display that in its odometer? The meter can't even display that. Most cars would have vehicular problems already along 100KM.
