Kia Shows the Seltos's Aftermarket Potential with the X-Line Concepts (w/ 14 Photos)

Attention Seltos buyers, Kia is showing off the aftermarket potential of its new sub-compact crossover with a pair of vehicles called the Seltos X-Line Trail Attack and the Seltos X-Line Urban.

Conceived and penned at Kia Design Center America, and built by Zero to 60 Designs of Corona, California, the concepts are meant to convey the sort-of active lifestyles Seltos owners will embrace.

For the Seltos X-Line Trail Attack, it features a two-tone paint scheme “evoking a stirring desert sunset” and eight, yes, eight Hella auxiliary lights mounted on the front bumper and roof. A roof rack, meanwhile adds utility. It rides on 17x8-inch custom painted alloy wheels and gets an additional two inches of lift, raising its ground clearance to 234 millimeters.

Meanwhile, for urban dwellers, there’s the Seltos X-Line Urban. This one, gets a custom slate gray paint with a high-gloss black roof panel. Like the X-Line Trail Attack, it  gets a custom two-inch lift for “better vantage point around the snarled city traffic,” 17x8-inch alloy wheels, and a custom hood with an integrated intake. Up top, it has four Hella auxiliary lights and a custom fabricated roof rack as well.

Mechanically, both Seltos X-Line models remain unchanged from its U.S.-spec showroom sibling. With that, it gets a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 176 horsepower. This engine is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic which routes its power through an electric all-wheel drive system with a center differential lock.
