The 2020 Accord is the latest Honda model to receive a perfect 5-star rating in a crash test conducted by the ASEAN NCAP.
The all-new Honda Accord achieved a 5-star rating with an overall score of 91.79 out of 100, after an evaluation of its frontal offset impact test, side impact test, and safety features. The new model received impressive scores of 49.07 out of 50 for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), 23.28 out of 25 for Child Occupant Protection (COP), and 19.44 out of 25 for Safety Assist Technologies (SATs).
This latest result emphasizes Honda’s commitment to ensure a high level of safety for its vehicles—a part of its future vision of a collision-free mobile society. After this latest round of tests, almost the entire current Honda line-up now has a perfect 5-star safety rating, with the previous Brio (the new Brio has yet to be tested) and Brio Amaze the only ones with a 4-star safety rating.
