Foton PH is First Chinese Brand to Extend Payment Terms, Warranties, and PMS
Foton Philippines, the best-selling Chinese commercial vehicle brand in the Philippines is joining Japanese and American carmakers (yes, the Korean ones except for SsangYong have been mum) in extending auto loan due dates, expiring warranties, and adding grace periods to missed Periodic Maintenance Service due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Foton’s auto loan partners—BDO, BPI Family Savings Bank, China Bank Savings, EastWest Bank, Maybank, PSBank, UCPB, RCBC, and Security Bank have all agreed to extend auto loan due dates during the period of the Enhanced Community Quarantine. This should provide Foton owners more time to manage their household and personal expenses during this COVID-19 crisis. Details are sparse, but it’s understood that the payment term extensions vary from 30 to 90 days depending on the bank.
In addition, Foton is also extending expiring warranties and the offering grace period for due PMS until June 30, 2020—that’s a generous 78 day extension from the supposed end of the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
“In this difficult time, what we want for our customers is for them to worry less,” said Foton Philippines President Rommel Sytin. “We are continuously launching programs that would provide our valued clients an easy and convenient ownership experience.”
