Hyundai has shut down a factory in South Korea after a worker there tested positive for the new coronavirus (COVID-19). The factory, in Ulsan builds the Tucson, Santa Fe, and Palisade SUVs for the Korean carmaker.

Hyundai says it was disinfecting the factory, but did not say when the production would resume.

The closure is the latest setback to Hyundai which only gradually resumed production after a shortage of parts from China brought about by the virus outbreak. Apart from China, South Korea is the most badly hit with over 3,700 cases and 18 deaths.

Hyundai operates five car factories in Ulsan, which has an annual production capacity of 1.4 million vehicles, or nearly 30 percent of Hyundai's global production.

Hyundai employs 34,000 workers there at the biggest car complex in the world.
