Can the P 1.850M 2020 Jeep Compass Stand Out of the Compact SUV Crowd? (w/ 11 Photos, Specs)
With Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) looking to globalize its Jeep brand, they’ve begun to move the production hub for the Philippine market to its two plants in China. With that, Auto Nation Group, the exclusive distributor of Jeep in the country takes advantage of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement and brings down the price of the Jeep Compass and Renegade for 2020.
Previewed last year, the Compass is Jeep’s global compact SUV designed for individuals who’ve perfected the code for work-life balance. The Compass features muscular styling and an exceptional glass-to-wheel proportion. Upfront, it wears the iconic 7-slot grille, at each corner are 17-inch alloy wheels shod with all-season tires, and at the back, LED taillights. A dual pane sunroof is also standard.
The 2020 Jeep Compass features the Uconnect 4 infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen display. Apple CarPlay and Baidu CarLife are standard, as well as a 6-speaker system. The Compass also comes with multiple storage solutions, and together with its clever packaging means there’s no shortage of space for anything and everything.
Powering the Compass is FCA’s 1.4-liter MultiAir turbocharged engine with idle start/stop. Mated to a 7-speed dry type dual clutch automatic, it makes 162 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. This Jeep also comes with ParkView rear back-up camera and Park Sense rear parking sensors.
The 2020 Jeep Compass comes in just one variant and that’s priced at P 1.850-million. And like the Renegade, to commemorate the launch of this compact SUV, Auto Nation Group is offering a P 50,000 discount until June 30, 2020. The Compass is ready for booking at all Jeep dealerships nationwide.
