President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the implementation of a “Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine” over Metro Manila,Laguna, and other transitioning high-risk areas. Cebu City and Mandaue City though will remain on Enhanced Community Quarantine.
The Modified ECQ will be in effect in transitioning high-risk areas for two weeks (May 16 to 31) over Metro Manila, Laguna, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Zambales, and Angeles City. Modified ECQ allows for the following:
- Limited movement within the containment zone for obtaining essential services and work
- Operation of selected industries and manufacturing up to 50 percent workforce (auto dealers and service centers will be allowed to re-open under the modified ECQ).
- Limited transportation services for essential goods and services
- Suspension of physical classes
Cebu City and Mandaue City will remain under ECQ until May 31, 2020.
- Region II – Cagayan Valley
- Region III – Central Luzon
- Region IV-A – Southern Tagalog Mainland (except Laguna)
- CAR – Cordillera Administrative Region
- Region VII – Central Visayas (except Cebu City)
- Region IX – Zamboanga Peninsula
- Region XI – Davao Region
- Region XIII - CARAGA
