The 808-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is Now Available in the Philippines

After surprising many with the availability of the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack late last year, Auto Nation Group, the official distributor of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and RAM in the Philippines is upping the muscle car ante with the announcement that the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is also available for orders locally.

As Dodge’s most powerful, quickest, and fastest muscle car, the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is, you could say, possessed by speed demons. At its heart is a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 pushing out 808 horsepower and 959 Nm of torque. This makes it the fastest production muscle car with a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.4 seconds, a quarter mile time of 10.8 seconds, and a top speed of 327 km/h.

The Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye picks up from where the limited-run Challenger SRT Demon left off. The slightly lower outputs in the regular-run Hellcat Redeye compared to the Demon is down to the smaller hood intake system. Still, it makes 90 horsepower and 15 Nm more than the standard Hellcat thanks to its enlarged supercharger (the largest of any production car), increased boost, higher rpm, and two dual-stage fuel pumps.

Other upgrades found on the SRT Hellcat Redeye (compared to the regular Hellcat) include a reinforced 8-speed automatic, track-tuned suspension with adaptive damping, Brembo brakes, SRT Power Chiller (lowers air intake temps), and After-Run Chiller (keeps the engine’s cooling fan and low-temperature circuit coolant pump running to lower the supercharger/charge air cooler temperature) when the engine is shut down.

Outside, the SRT Hellcat Redeye features available dual carbon or gunmetal stripes, dual snorkels on the hood, and lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it gets one of three interior options: leather, leather/alcantara, or Nappa leather/alcantara.

The 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye carries a P 7.890-million price tag. By comparison, it’s cheaper than the 455-horsepower Corvette Stingray (P 8.546-million) and the 570-horsepower Nissan GT-R (P 8.9-million).

For those who want a more practical version, the four-door Charger SRT Hellcat is also available at just P 100,000 more (P 7,990,000).
