Ford PH Brings Back F-150 This 2020 with Prices Starting at P 2.698M (w/ Specs)
Coming from the success of the Ranger Raptor, Ford officially marks the return of the F-150 back to the Philippines. As part of the brand’s F-Series, the F-150 holds the position as America’s bestselling truck for 43 straight years, as well as the overall bestselling vehicle for 38 years. Among its product range, the F-150 sets the global standard in trucks, harnessing the “Build Ford Tough” design with advanced technologies to cater to comfort and safety and powerful performance, in and out of the city.
According to Ford Philippines Managing Director, PK Umashankar, the F-150 caters to the profile of the hardworking, successful businessman with a penchant for adventure. These are individuals who views the F-150 as a lifestyle vehicle.
For the Philippines, Ford brings in 2 variants: the 4x4 Platinum SuperCrew AT and the 4x2 Lariat SuperCrew AT. Both are packed with segment defining features and capabilities that has made it the truck of choice around the world. Its powertrain is equipped with the proven 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine with Auto Start-Stop Technology, with a power output of 380 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque. Despite its undeniable performance, it promises to be fuel efficient, thanks to the 10-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift.
Next to performance, Ford put safety in high regard. The F-150 is equipped with a host of features that offer peace of mind for both driver and passengers. As a start, the truck comes with the Ford Co-Pilot 360—the exclusive safety suite that’s composed of Pre-Collision Assist with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Lane Keeping System (LKS), and Auto-High Beam Headlamps.
To enhance in city and off-road safety, the F-150 features additional technologies, such as AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, Dual-Stage Front Airbags, SecuriLock Passive Anti-Theft System, Perimeter Alarm, among others. The Platinum variant even gets a boost with Inflatable Rear Seatbelts.
The 2020 Ford F-150 features head-turning looks. Exclusive to the 4x4 Platinum AT is a silver mesh satin-aluminum grille and tailgate applique, chrome side mirror caps, door and tailgate handles, tail-gate step with tail-gate lift assist, bright beltline moldings, high-gloss black B-pillar applique and platinum badge on fender sides, twin panel moonroof, and power deployable running boards.
On the inside, the Platinum variant features a luxurious leather interior with genuine black ash wood trim accents, 10-way power adjustable driver and front passenger seats with ActiveMotion massage function, aluminum applique on the center panel and console, instrument clusters with leather-wrapped shift knob and console lid, as well as color-coordinated carpet flooring with premium floor mats, and metal door sill inserts with ‘Platinum’ branding.
The 4x2 Lariat AT, however, comes with the Sport appearance package with a body-color grille and black mesh, side mirror caps, door and tailgate handles, magnetic angular step bars, and ‘ Sport’ box decals. The interior finishes off with a unique Lariat finish on the instrument panel, media bin lid and doors, and plush leather seats.
By June 25, 2020, Ford fans can already check out the all-new 2020 F-150 at all Ford dealerships nationwide. The 4x4 Platinum AT starts at P 2,998,000, and is available in 4 colors: Blue Jeans, Star White, Iconic Silver, and Agate Black (the Star White adds P 15,000). Meanwhile, the 4x2 Lariat AT variant starts at P 2,698,000, available in Rapid Red, Oxford White, Iconic Silver, and Agate Black.
