Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), the general distributor of Fuso Commercial Vehicles in the Philippines has brought in the all-new Fuso Super Great truck tractor models.

Coming straight from the Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) in Japan, the Super Great truck tractor enters the market in two variants: the FP-R 4x2 with 45-tons Gross Combination Weight (GCW) and the FV-R 6x4 with 55-tons GCW.


True to its Daimler DNA, both configurations are powered by the Euro–5 compliant, 12-liter inline-6 Mercedes-Benz OM457 water cooled direct injection turbocharged diesel engine giving 401 horsepower for the 4x2 variant, and 450 horsepower for the 6x4 variant.

This engine is mated to the G230 INOMAT-II, 12-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). This makes Fuso Philippines the first Japanese commercial vehicle brand to launch a truck tractor with AMT as standard. It also has flexible drive settings and cruise control that suit various driving situations and load conditions.


For the cabin, the Fuso Super Great comes with an air-suspension driver’s seat and armrest and a multi-information display on the instrument cluster.

The Fuso Super Great also comes with safety features such as a Four Level auxiliary brake, anti-lock brakes, anti-slip regulator, and hill start assist.
