The Geely Holding Group made a donation of 100,000 pieces of surgical masks to the Philippines to help boost its fight against COVID-19. This is the second such donation made through Geely chairman’s Li Shufu Charity Foundation. Last March, it shipped 20,000 surgical masks to the Department of Health.

With a theme, “Mutual Assistance and Solidarity”, a ceremonial turnover of surgical mask donations to ASEAN countries was led by the China-ASEAN Entrepreneurs Association Preparatory Committee.

Geely Holding Group, together with Li Shufu Charity Foundation donated a total of 200,000 medical surgical masks amounting to about 4 million pesos to different ASEAN countries. Of the 200,000 pieces, half was given to the Philippines.

Geely Automobile International Sales Company Deputy General Manager Jin Guangyu,  said that Geely Automobile will continue to pay attention to the COVID-19 situation in the Philippines, cooperate with its local partners, and use Geely Automobile’s global resources to help overcome the pandemic.

Meantime, amid the crisis, Geely Group underscored its vow to focus on providing customers with safe and healthy cars.

Last February, Geely Automobile has invested 370 million RMB (around USD 53 million) for the development of healthy cars. In the same month, Geely successfully produced the first car-level CN95 air filter. Following this development, many models of Geely have been equipped with CN95 filter elements such as the Geely Coolray and the Azkarra which are currently being sold in the Philippines.
