Heads-Up: EasyTrip Tags to be Phased Out by September 30
Heads up, EasyTrip tag users. The electronic toll fee provider for the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), and C5 Link Flyover has announced that all transponders will be deactivated by September 30, 2020.
In lieu of the bulky transponder (Dedicated Short-Range Communications) tag, the provider is now encouraging all motorists to shift to its RFID system.
With that in mind, EasyTrip is dedicating RFID installation and conversion sites located along NLEX in Balintawak Northbound Lanes 8 & 9, Bocaue Southbound Expansion Toll Plaza, and Angeles Entry Toll Plaza.
The EasyTrip Tag balance can also be transferred to the RFID account by visiting any NLEX Customer Service Center or by filling up the transfer balance form when the conversion is done onsite. Request For Transfer of Balance Form can also be done via the official website.
