The Chery Tiggo 8 is the Most Satisfying Mid-Sized SUV to Own in China
The China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd. (CATARC) recently released the results of its survey on customer satisfaction in China’s automobile industry from 2019 to 2020, and the 7-seater Chery Tiggo 8 was selected as the “Best Entry-Level Medium and Large SUV.”
The annual survey covers 140 evaluation items, targets over 20,000 consumers in nearly 40 cities in China, and releases results to the whole industry. CATARC comprehensively evaluates vehicles in various aspects including product satisfaction, service satisfaction, sales satisfaction and after-sales service satisfaction.
The 2019-2020 survey involves nearly 40 automakers and over 130 vehicle models in China. The Chery Tiggo 8 was ranked among the top three on the entry-level medium and large SUV satisfaction list with a high score of 795 points—far above the average. The Tiggo 8 was cited for its “huge space,” “high comfort,” and “superior power.”
Tiggo 8 customers, who find mobile connectivity very important, were impressed with the 10-inch Ultra High Defition (UHD) LED touchscreen, 7-inch fully digital instrument panel, and touchscreen controls for the climate control. It also has multiple USB ports and wireless charging to boot.
The class-exclusive feature though is the standard Chery Smartwatch Key. It’s the industry’s first-ever wearable device. Much like how modern smartwatches wirelessly syncs with smartphones, the Chery Smartwatch Key connects with the Tiggo 8. The Smartwatch Key looks like a sleek fitness band and has a rubber strap and a digital display that offers seven main functions that control various functions of the car remotely. These include locking and unlocking the car, remote engine start/stop (including remotely turning the aircon on), opening and closing the windows, remote trunk opening, incoming call reminders, and audible/vibrate alarms. It also functions like a fitness band and boasts heart rate monitoring among other fitness tracker functionalities.
Customer satisfaction is the highest recognition of products and brands. With the entry of Chinese automobiles into the global market, customer orientation has become more important than ever. Chery believes that the acceptance and popularity of the Tiggo 8 and other Chery models will further grow with its deep focus on customer satisfaction.
In the Philippines Chery is distributed by United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI). Chery Auto Philippines has launched Chery Auto PH App for the local market. The new app is available for download on the Google Play Store for Android smartphones, with an iOS version for iPhones to follow soon.
