The world’s most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan isn’t from Mercedes-Benz or BMW—it’s from Dodge and their SRT team. Meet the 797-horsepower (808 PS) 2021 Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

Like its two-door counterpart, the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye receives a 6.2-liter HEMI V8. If that wasn’t enough, Dodge installed the largest factory supercharger with 2.7 liters of displacement. Along with increased boost pressure, two dual-stage fuel pumps, a higher rpm redline, and a host of other changes, the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye makes 797 horsepower and 958 Nm of torque. This is mated to an 8-speed automatic driving the rear wheels.



In case you needed to know, at full throttle, it’ll consume about 5.4 liters of fuel a minute—draining its massive tank in just under 11 minutes. Driven sensibly though, it can still return 9.35 km/L—on the highway.

Dodge hasn’t released the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye’s official figures yet, but they say it’ll run the quarter mile in 10.6 seconds, 0 to 100 km/h in the mid-3 second range, and reach a top speed of 327 km/h.

Putting all that power to the pavement, Dodge has widened the body by 3.5 inches (89 mm) and slotted in 20-inch x 11-inch lightweight Carbon Black wheels on Pirelli 305/35 ZR 20 tires at all four corners. Adaptive Bilstein dampers, large Brembo brakes (six pistons at the front, two at the back), and a recalibrated power steering system complete the changes.



Beyond its menacing stance, the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye also has a new “performance hood” with a functional hood scoop that feeds power directly to the supercharger. Moreover, the mail-slot grille, providing for additional cool air to travel into the radiator to help maintain ideal operating temperature even in the hottest conditions. The SRT Power Chiller also lowers air intake temperature by diverting air conditioning coolant from the cabin to a chiller unit mounted near the coolant pump.

The world’s only “four-door muscle car” goes on sale in the U.S. later this year with customer deliveries there to start by early 2021.
