Mazda PH Launches Limited Edition Mazda3 edition100
Commemorating its historic win as the World Car Design of the Year, Bermaz Auto Philippines, the official distributor of Mazda in the country is launching a limited edition model called the Mazda3 edition100. And before you ask, no, it won’t be limited to 100 units; it will be limited to just 50.
Arriving solely in the 5-door sportback trim, it continues where the top-of-the-line Mazda3 Speed leaves off. It comes in three color choices: Jet Black, Soul Red Crystal, and Snowflake White Pearl. Each was chosen specifically to highlight the Evolved KODO Design as well as its “less is more” aesthetic.
Highlighting the Mazda3’s “yohaku” or beauty in empty space, the edition100 trades its Brilliant Black Speed body kit for one that’s colored in Soul Red (except for the Soul Red model which retains its high-gloss black kit). Other changes include the 18-inch Midnight Black alloy wheels (from gunmetal) and red-colored brake calipers. Finally, in order to emphasize the iconic wing grille, the Mazda3 edition100 has its front license plate relocated to just above the body kit as not to break the silhouette.
Like the Speed model, it gets a two-tone black and red interior with red leather seats.
As a purely aesthetics upgrade, the Mazda3 edition100 remains powered by the 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine making 154 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. Moreover, the feature set remains the same with a 12-speaker Bose sound system, adaptive cruise control, leather seats with 10-way power adjust for the driver, dual zone climate control, blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, and more. This makes it the most feature-packed compact car in the market today.
As for pricing, the Mazda3 edition100 is priced P 20,000 higher than the Mazda3 Speed. In case you need a refresher, the Mazda3 Speed is priced at P 1,590,000 (additional P 22,600 for Soul Red Crystal). The edition100, regardless of color is priced at P 1,610,000.
The 2020 Mazda3 edition100 is now available at all Mazda dealerships nationwide.
