The 2021 Mazda Bongo is Small in Stature, Big in Load

Mazda has completely improved their light commercial van, the Bongo. Not to be mistaken for its bigger brother, the Bongo Brawny, the 2021 Bongo is small in stature allowing it go just about anywhere the man in charge, in this case, the driver, wishes. Moreover, it comes packing tech that helps prevent false starts and suppresses unwanted movement.

Done in collaboration with Daihatsu, the perky in white Bongo is powered by 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine. While it lacks outright grunt, it does have abundant torque especially in situations where there are lots of stops and starts. Moreover, fuel efficiency is said to be good.

The small frame allows it to turn in a dime—4.9-meters turning radius while it has a low ground clearance above the luggage compartment which helps reduce the physical load especially for geriatrics or people with bad backs.

Most interesting of all, the 2021 Bongo comes with a collision avoidance system which helps prevent frontal collisions and false starts.

Since its introduction in 1966, the Bongo has been favored by many for its easy-to-use dimensions and excellent loading capacity given its size. Cumulatively, Mazda has sold more than 2.1 million of these.
