Mazda is Already Busy Accessorizing the 2021 BT-50
Australia is, single-handedly, the all-new Mazda BT-50’s most important market, and reiterating that is the carmaker’s plan to offer a full accessories range there that will exceed 100 options once launched.
With an October launch down under, Mazda Australia has given the world its first glimpse of how an accessorized 2021 BT-50 would look like.
Developed in-house by Mazda Australia, the BT-50 comes with a bull bar that perfectly integrates with the pickup truck’s various safety systems including the front parking sensors.
Known as the “The Queensland Bar,” this was developed for heavy-duty applications and is made of high-grade, black-finished steel. It also integrates headlight hoops to fully protect the front end while being fully compatible with the LED headlights, indicators, and DRLs. It also serves as mounting points for other accessories such as driving lights and light bars.
The bull bar was thoroughly tested to ensure uncompromised engine and transmission cooling, while extensive durability testing has confirmed they are as robust as the truck itself.
Aside from the bull bar, Mazda Australia also created a sports bar. This black-finished steel bar features side-plates with ‘BT-50’ insignia for a truly purposeful presence and blends perfectly with the soft tonneau cover.
At launch, Mazda Australia will also be offering off-road ready wheels highlighted by a black-finished 18-inch alloy that adds visual aggression to the rather sophisticated looking truck.
