PGA Cars, the exclusive distributor of Audi in the Philippines brings in the new Audi A8 L 3.0 TFSI MHEV, their luxury limousine that offers specifications and equipment unmatched by competitors in its class.

The crowning glory of the new Audi A8 L is its predictive active suspension. A feature not available in other luxury sedans, the A8 L uses electromechanical actuators to lift or force down each of the vehicle’s wheels individually to actively manage ride height in every situation. Using a camera located at the front of the car, the system identifies uneven surfaces before these are reached, and predictively regulates the active suspension.

Audi’s permanent all-wheel drive with a center locking differential—quattro and 20-inch wheels are standard.



Coupled with these technologies is the A8 L’s long wheelbase which translates into a roomy interior. Resembling a spacious lounge with minimal forms elegantly outlined by ambient lighting, among the features here is the Rear Seat Entertainment system comprised of two Audi tablets and the Rear Seat Remote. With these items, passengers can enjoy watching movies on sites like Netflix, browse the Internet, and access other apps. Connectivity to any platform is assured by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Audi Cool Box in the rear seat pampers passengers even more by keeping drinks chilled.

Audi’s trademark MMI touch becomes the MMI touch response in the A8 L. At the center of the car’s instrument panel is a 10.1-inch touchscreen display. A second touchscreen display on the console of the center tunnel allows access to climate control and convenience features, including the ability to enter texts through handwriting recognition. Also, MMI Navigation plus serves as a media center that generates graphics in full HD resolution for the Audi virtual cockpit.


Other advanced luxury features of the Audi A8 L include the 360-degree 3D-view camera, panoramic sunroof, an air quality package composed on an air ionizer and perfume, multifunction massage in all seats, and a Bang & Olufsen audio system.

Powering the new Audi A8 L is a 3.0-liter, turbocharged V6 gasoline engine developing 335 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. In addition, it comes with a mild-hybrid system with a belt alternator starter and lithium-ion battery. This allows the car to coast at speeds between 55 km/h and 160 km/h with the engine switched off, and in the process produces zero emissions for up to 40 seconds. As soon as the driver steps on the throttle pedal again, the BAS prompts a swift, smooth restart. A new 48-volt system that functions as the main vehicle electrical system offers a high recuperation power of up to 12 kW plus start-stop operation from 22 km/h, reducing fuel consumption.
