Road Trips? Skip Hotels and Use This Special Nissan Urvan Instead

Nissan is quick to adopt its vehicles to the needs of the new normal. Apart from coming up with the world’s first zero emissions ambulance, the Japanese carmaker has come up with a flexible, highly versatile version of its Urvan which can be used as a mobile office.

Called the NV350 Caravan Multi Bed, it’s a product of Autech Japan, a Nissan affiliate company. It’s designed to meet the growing needs for people who need some private space, especially when they’re on the road.

While looking like a regular Urvan outside, the Multi Bed sheds a couple of its rear seats in favor of a bed that encompassing the entire luggage compartment. What sets it apart is that the bed itself is made of three pieces and can be flipped up so that it can still accommodate large equipment and items. An optional table can even be installed transforming it into a mobile office, perfect for that quick Zoom call.

In commemoration of the Multi Bed’s launch, Nissan is raffling one off where the lucky winner can use it for three days and two nights for free.

Sadly, the Urvan / NV350 Multi Bed (and the raffle promo) is Japan only. Suffice to say, local customizers can look at it as potential inspiration for their very own Urvan build.

The Urvan Multi Bed is based off the Premium body style and is offered in both rear- and all-wheel drive. At 4.009 million yen, it is about 823,000 yen more expensive (about P 378,000) than the regular 10-seater Urvan.
