If the Nissan GT-R isn’t special enough for you, why don’t you consider this one-of-one GT-R Offroad “Godzilla 2.0.” as its name implies, it’s a GT-R meant to go off-roading, clearly inspired by the African Safari rally cars of the 1980s and 1990s.
Netherlands-based Classic Youngtimers started with an early R35 (2009-2011), and added 120 mm of additional ground clearance (at 230 mm, it is 5 mm more than the Terra). Together with the added distance between terra firma and the car floor, they threw in huge off-road tires. Suffice to say, they had to modify the wheel arches and mudguards to get it to fit. Added fender flares and a camo paint job completes the military-inspired transformation.
The Safari rally look continues onto the roof-mounted full-sized spare tire along with a custom-made roof rack. LED light bars on the roof and sport lamps on the front bumper give added visibility during nighttime adventures.
Classic Youngtimers didn’t leave the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 untouched too. Here, they bumped up its power from the standard 485 horsepower to “600-plus horsepower.” They didn’t elaborate what they did though to achieve those enhanced power figures.
For those interested, the GT-R Offroad Godzilla 2.0 is currently listed for sale for about 95,000 Euros or about P 5.385 million. Take note though that this example already has 46,500 kilometers on the clock. It’s pretty hefty, but at least you’ll be able to take a GT-R off the beaten path.
