Following San Miguel Corporation’s lead, the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) announced that vehicles passing through NLEX, SCTEX, and its other tollways may get their EasyTrip RFID beyond the November 2 deadline set by the Department of Transportation or DOTr.
As expressways shift to fully cashless payments as a measure to curb the spread of COVID-19, MPTC said that motorists yet to get an EasyTrip RFID sticker may do so on the day of their trip if traveling after November 2.
They will still be allowed to pass through NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, C5 Link, and CALAX, but will be directed to the RFID installation lanes where they can have their RFID stickers installed.
The charge for passing through the tollways on that day would be deducted from their initial load after getting the stickers. The stickers will, meanwhile, be free.
Aside from the drive-thru installation which does not require any documents, their off-site customer service stations will continue to operate and install RFID stickers.
Meanwhile, San Miguel Corporation who operates the Skyway, SLEX, NAIAX, STAR Tollway, and TPLEX has set a November 30 as the absolute deadline for motorists. After this time, vehicles without RFIDs will not be allowed to enter.
Is there an online application so that in claiming the sticker will just present the reference number to avoid long queue?

Deletesana po walang deadline ang pagkuha ng rfid..kasi paanu yung nasa malayong probinsya just like from bikol, visayas and mindanao and hindi nmn sila frequent user ng expressway..pupunta lang ba sila sa expressways para kumuha ng rfid..suggestion lang po ito to decongest yung mahabang pila para sa installation ng rfid..especially po sa mga hindi frequent user ng expressway to allow them to have the rfid installed on the day of their trip or travel even after the november 30 deadline..and this is to give way din po dun sa mga laging gumagamit ng expressway na makabitan sila ng rfid..in that way maiiwasan po ang mahabang pila sa installation sites..kasi marame din po ang mga hindi frequent user ng expressway and yet kelangan na sila magpakabit ng rfid because of the deadline..kaya po hahaba talaga ang pila sa installation sites..sana po makarating ito sa mga namamahala ng expressways natin..salamat po.
ReplyDeleteBased sa statement ng MPTC (NLEX, SCTEX, etc.), walang deadline for the RFID. Ang may deadline ay sa SLEX, Skyway--yung sa Autosweep. By November 30 you cannot enter their highways without an RFID.

I see. So it's not really "absolute deadline." Say for example I won't be able to get a sticker until next yr due to some reasons but if I would use their expressways on January next yr I will be directed to their "sticker installation lane." If that is correct I am willing to avail the sticker for a fee next yr than spend hours to get one today. E sa QC circle today sobrang traffic na at yung iba umaga pa lang andun na to get one and yet wala pa rin until now
DeleteBeing directed to the sticker install lane is for EasyTrip (NLEX, SCTEX, only). For SMC, you'll have to proceed to an Autosweep installation site prior to entering the toll ways. They haven't announced yet if they'll continue with the sticker install lane after November 30.

ReplyDeleteConvert your account to Autosweep Premium. That's the only option if you want to tie it to your credit card. You can have multiple RFIDs tied to the same account number.

Yes. You need to have RFID installed kahit once a year lang ang daan mo.
