Maxus Philippines’s upcoming 7-seater compact SUV, the D60 has scored a perfect 5-star rating at its C-NCAP or China New Car Assessment Program crash safety test. With standards mirroring closely the European NCAP, this shows that this compact SUV can meet or surpass even the most stringent safety standards.
The Maxus D60 scored 91.61 percent in Occupancy Protection, 72.69 percent in Pedestrian Protection, and 92.71 percent in Active Safety. All in all, it managed 88.9 percent out of 100, enough for a perfect 5-star rating.
While Maxus Philippines has yet to reveal the final specs of the D60, the variant tested by the C-NCAP features 6 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program, and even Autonomous Emergency Braking or AEB.
With teasers now making the social media rounds, the wait won’t be long for Maxus Philippines’s newest offering.
