Diesel-Powered Land Rover Defender Coming in 2021 (w/ Specs)


Coventry Motors Corporation (CMC), the sole authorized distributor of Jaguar vehicles, parts, and accessories in the Philippines, will bring in the diesel-powered Defender both in three- and five-door variants by early Q1 2021.

From an unrivalled off-roader to a luxurious durable ride, the 2021 Land Rover Defender delivers an indisputable breadth of capability. The unmistakable silhouette of the Defender’s distinctive look which demonstrates the vehicle’s character is familiar yet new. Built for optimum durability, designed with purpose and engineered to excite, the Defender is truly an icon reimagined for the digital generation.

The Defender D240 will be available in two body frames, 90 and 110. The short wheelbase,3-door Defender 90 comes with the same features almost identical to its bigger brother, The Defender 110.


Both are powered by a state-of-the-art Ingenium D240 twin-turbocharged diesel powertrain mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It makes 240 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque.

Equipped with independent front and rear suspensions with adaptive dynamics for more refined comfort, extraordinary all-terrain capabilities that allows drivers to select one of several modes that optimize performance on a variety of different surfaces, and class leading All Wheel Drive system, the Defender is unstoppable both off and on-road.

Unlike its predecessor, the New Defender has a lightweight aluminum monocoque construction, making it more rigid than traditional body-on-frame designs, giving a more refined ride.

Iconic in name, shape and capability, the Defender can be personalized in four available design options, Urban, Country, Adventure, and Explorer to allow owners to make the most of their world.

Both Defender 90 and 110 D240 may be pre-ordered at All British Cars showroom at EDSA Greenhills and BGC at 5th Avenue corner 24th Street.
