The Mazda CX-30 is Thailand's Car of the Year

Thai journalists have spoken, and they’ve picked the Mazda CX-30 as the Thailand Car of the Year. Organized by a judging panel of over 60 automotive journalists comprising the Thai Automotive Journalists Association, Mazda’s compact crossover bested 133 other cars to win the top honor.

The CX-30’s win marks the third time in history, and the second year running that a Mazda vehicle takes the award after the Mazda3 and CX-3 won the award in 2019 and 2016 respectively.

Thai journalists narrowed down the list of eligible cars through several criteria including design, value for money, engineering, safety, and even environmental compliance. After that, the finalists were then subjected to an instrument test that takes into account acceleration and handling.

This year, the CX-30 has managed to scoop accolade after accolade. It was a finalist for World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year, as well as the China SUV of the Year. Most recently, it was awarded as the Car Design of the Year by the Japan Automobile Hall of Fame

The CX-30 is a compact crossover that combines the bold proportions of an SUV with elegant styling that embodies Mazda’s Kodo design language. The vehicle is brought to life through reflections of the surroundings on its body that beautifully change according to the vehicle's movement, location and the season.

Furthermore, the CX-30 enriches time spent with loved ones with its cabin that comfortably sits four adults and offers a high level of quietness, as well as the high-quality interior that has been refined down to the smallest details.

Since February 2020, the CX-30 has been produced for the Thai market at the AutoAlliance (Thailand) Co., Ltd. plant.
