More details trickle in about GAC Motor’s newest offering—the 2021 GN6. As the February launch window nears, the full specifications of the 7-seater MPV is now out. You can check them out fully below, but if you want the gist, you can read on.
There will be two variants (and from what we gather, three colors) on offer for the GN6. With a model designation of 270T, it means they will have a turbocharged 1.5-liter making 171 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque. The only gearbox available for the Philippine market? A 6-speed automatic.
The 7-seater MPV will have standard 16-inch alloy wheels as standard. Sadly, only halogen headlights will be on offer. Additionally, only the top-trim version will have front fog lamps and a power sunroof.
While the GN6 may be a wallflower outside, inside it’s respectably loaded with a 7-inch LCD instrument panel, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, a PM2.5 filtration system, and overhead AC vents up to the third row. Fabric seats though are standard, but opting for the top-spec swaps it for leatherette.
In terms of safety, the GN6 will have dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, and stability control as standard. The high-spec variant adds side-impact airbags, a reverse camera.
As for the price, so far, GAC Motor Philippines has remained mum on its, but it’s understood that they are targeting to price it within the P 1.4 million range to make it competitive against the Toyota Innova and Maxus G50.
