In support of the government’s PUV Modernization Program, Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) is participating in what could be the first-ever physical motor show during the on-going pandemic: the Manila Commercial Vehicle Show (MCVS) and Philippine Public Transport Convention (PPTC).
Happening this Thursday, January 28 to Saturday, January 30 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from 9 AM to 5 PM, the twin events is supported by the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Office of Transportation Cooperative (OTC), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), and many more.
As the country continues to address challenges in mass transportation, the MCVS and PPTC present a competent platform that could bring more feasible solutions and options to light, thus helping achieve the collective goal of providing the greater public convenient and safe mobility.
Foton Motor Philippine Inc. (FMPI), will be participating in the MCVS and PPTC in accordance with its commitment to support the growth and continued development of the industry, its customers, and the economy by offering high-quality vehicles to the market.
In line with efforts to provide dependable mobility to Filipinos, Foton will be showcasing three of its robust Modern Jeepney in the MCVS: the Foton F-Jeepney F29, the F-Jeepney F24, and the new F-Jeepney F11.
The Foton F-Jeepney F29 offers bigger and more robust capabilities. Designed to fit the transportation requirements of our fellowmen, it upgrades the traditional Filipino jeepney with its spacious 29-passenger capacity powered by a 3.8-liter ISF Cummins engine. Producing a dependable power output of 154 horsepower at 2,600 rpm and maximum torque of 500 Nm at 1,200-1,900 rpm, it gives the King of the Road the necessary muscle to move the nation.
Boasting modern technology, the F-Jeepney F29 meets modern transportation requirements, featuring an Automatic Fare Collection System for cashless transactions, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS Tracker, CCTV system, and an LED TV screen. The F-Jeepney F29 also complies with Philippine National Standard (PNS) 2126:2017 and Euro IV emission standards.
On the other hand, the Foton F-Jeepney F24 is powered by a ISF 2.8 Cummins engine that boasts long-lasting power and spacious interiors capable of transporting up to 24 passengers. It has a strong power output of 117 horsepower at 3,200 rpm and maximum torque of 260 Nm at 3,200 rpm. The F-Jeepney F24 provides extra comfort with its cushioned seats and highly effective air-conditioning system.
Aside from the F24 and F29 models, the Foton F-Jeepney also offers a variant that is fit for more agile and more compact public transportation. The 11-seater Foton F-Jeepney F11 features a smooth drive even within tight city streets with its lightweight and streamlined design. It offers 87 horsepower at 3,200 rpm with its 2.2-liter diesel engine that can also produce a maximum torque of 220 Nm at 2,220 rpm. The tried-and tested motor is mated to an easy-to-shift 5-speed manual transmission for effortless efficiency and operation.
