Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation is adding more features to its 7-seater Montero Sport SUV this 2021—ones that lessen driver stress, especially for those who spend long stints behind the wheel.
For 2021, all variants from the GLS 2WD AT upward get the 360-degree multi-around view camera and Mitsubishi’s Active Stability and Traction Control (M-ASTC) system as standard. The latter incorporates not just traction and stability control, but hill start assist and hill descent control (GT 4WD only) giving owners an added layer of security during inclement weather.
Other new features for the GLS 2WD AT include cruise control. Meanwhile, the GT 2WD gets an 8-way power adjustable seat for the driver, while the GT 4WD has both front passengers benefitting from the feature.
Interestingly, these new features don’t alter the prices of the Montero Sport. In fact, for 2021, they’re actually slightly more affordable:
- GLX 2WD MT – P 1,568,000
- GLS 2WD AT – P 1,728,000
- GT 2WD AT – P 1,928,000
- GT 4WD AT – P 2,450,000
Thanks to the "China" brands....the japs are worried.
ReplyDeleteHello, I want to verify if the base model is already GLS MT or still GLX MT?
ReplyDeleteApologies. That was a typo. The base model is the GLX M/T. It's the only Montero Sport that saw a price increase this 2021. Very minimal though.
DeleteFortuner G and V AT left the group... Overpriced yet less features compared to its competitors.
ReplyDeleteBut the Fortuner V has 8-inch Headunit with Apple Carplay and Android Auto wih Panoramic View Monitor.
DeleteA very cheap upgrade. Stock headunits suck.
Deletebase model with 4 wheel discs, back upsensors, back up cameras, stepboard.. medyo basic radio, pero ok na din ang sound.. i'm sold.. :)
ReplyDelete2020 GT 4WD had a PHP500.000 discount. What about 2021, do they have same discount?
ReplyDelete360 and M-ASTC across all variants are definitely a steal.
ReplyDeleteWill the 360 camera work on Drive mode like the Fortuner?
DeleteYes. However the front camera will turn off at a certain speed. The right camera still works though.
DeleteSad they didn't include 360 view on the Manual Variant
ReplyDeleteGT still overpriced. GLS and GLX however, seem to be pretty good. AFAIK, GLS and up already had traction control and cruise control standard for the 2020 model year.
ReplyDeleteDoes the 2021 GLX variant now also have the Active Stability and Traction Control (M-ASTC)??
ReplyDeleteNice upgrade but where the the stocks? Try calling the dealers and they'll tell you they don't have any.
