Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is recalling an additional ,365 vehicles due to faulty Takata airbags. This recall covers the front driver’s airbag inflator in Accord, CR-V, and Legend models manufactured between 1995 to 1999, and is a follow-up to an initial list published in 2018. The breakdown is as follows:
- Accord (CF9) – 1,472 units
- Accord (CG5) – 2 units
- CR-V (RD1) – 6,889 units
- Legend (K9A) – 2 units
HCPI says that countermeasure parts are now available, and they will replace the old airbag inflator with a new one free of charge. The replacement is done in as little as one hour, and all 38 authorized Honda Dealers and Service Centers are equipped to do the replacement.
