Mitsubishi is Closing in the UK, So They're Auctioning Off Their Heritage Collection

Mitsubishi is winding down its operations in the United Kingdom, and part of that is the public auction of 14 Heritage Vehicles.

Among the cars on offer include two of the earliest original UK Mitsubishis ever registered—a Colt Lancer (Lancer L-Type) and a Colt Galant. The former has done 73,703 miles (about 118,000 kilometers) and comes in white with a 1.4-liter engine. Meanwhile, the latter has done 60,963 miles (about 98,110 kilometers), and comes in blue with the range-topping 2.0-liter engine.

If something from the 80s and 90s tickle your fancy, the Japanese carmaker is also auctioning off a Starion Turbo and a 3000GT as well as three of its iconic 4x4s—a Mitsubishi Jeep, and a first- and second-generation Shogun (aka Pajero).

To most though, the one that’ll pique their interest would be the three Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions that’ll be auctioned off. The lot, which includes a Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition are all of low mileage and maintained to the “highest standards.”

There’s also a Galant GTi rally-replica, a promotional vehicle built to commemorate Mitsubishi’s rally victory with the Galant VR4, as well as the championship-winning Evo IX rally car.

The newest additions to the heritage fleet, a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Mk1 and a 2017 Mitsubishi L200 “Desert Warrior” will also go under the hammer.

You can check out the entire lot here. Mitsubishi Motors UK hasn’t set any price for any of these yet, but with the Philippines considering to pass its own Vintage Car Law, would you be willing to bid for a piece of Mitsubishi history?
