An Additional 10,863 Honda PH Units Affected By Faulty Fuel Pumps


Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), through a voluntarily recall, will replace the fuel pumps of 10,863 units of select 2018-2021 Accord, BR-V, City, Civic, Civic Type R, CR-V, HR-V, Jazz and Mobilio for possible defective impellers.

The breakdown is as follows:
  • MY2018 Honda Accord (Sold from 2019-2020) - 30 units
  • MY2019-2021 Honda Accord (Sold from 2019-2021) - 55 units
  • MY2019-2020 Honda BR-V (Sold from 2019-2020) - 3,094 units
  • MY2019-2020 Honda City (Sold from 2019-2021) - 5,100 units
  • MY2019 Honda Civic (Sold from 2019-2020) - 667 units
  • MY2019 Honda Civic (Sold from 2019-2021) - 234 units
  • MY2019 Honda Civic Type R (Sold from 2019-2021) - 90 units
  • MY2019 Honda CR-V (Sold from 2019-2020) - 172 units
  • MY2019-2020 Honda HR-V (Sold from 2019-2020) - 461 units
  • MY2019-2020 Honda Jazz (Sold from 2019-2020) - 600 units
  • MY2018-2019 Honda Mobilio (Sold from 2019-2021) - 360 units
This proactive effort of HCPI aims to ensure the safety of customers and address potential fuel pump related vehicle concerns such as inability to start-up or being inoperative.

Affected customers may avail of the fuel pump service kit replacement in any of the 38 Honda Cars dealerships nationwide. Replacement parts and labor for this voluntary recall is free and servicing process may take up to a maximum of two (2) hours.

A recall notification letter will be mailed to the owners of affected vehicles. Customers may also verify if their vehicle is affected through encoding its 17-digit Chassis Number or Vehicle Identification Number at the Chassis/VIN search tool, which may be found at the recall information webpage.

This is the second batch of affected units from Honda, the first being 10,136 units announced in June 2020.
