As the world fast-tracks the production of COVID-19 vaccines, the main challenge is to transport them to their destinations reliably and safely. This is where Foton and their new line of refrigerated trucks come in.
Featuring the mid-sized Tornado truck, Foton Motor Philippines has come up with the proper mobility solution in pharmaceutical transport thanks to its partnership with transport refrigeration pioneer, Thermo King.
Depending on the requirements, Foton Philippines presents two models of the Tornado Ref Van to choose from:
The Foton Tornado M4.2C Ref Van comes with a refrigerated storage area that can go as low as -20 degrees Celsius, a critical temperature for mobile refrigerated vans for the special purpose of transporting temperature-sensitive medicines. It has a generous payload of 4.2 tons within its 14-foot long body.
The powerful Cummins 3.8L ISF generates a strong maximum power output of 154 horsepower at 2,600 rpm and a robust maximum torque of 500 Nm at 1,200 to 1, 900 rpm.
Meanwhile, the Foton Tornado M2.6C Ref Van can maintain temperatures as low as -18 degrees Celsius. The 12-foot long body makes it a competent workhorse for moving critical vaccines on the go.
Its world-class Cummins 2.8L ISF diesel engine produces maximum power of 129 horsepower at 3,200 rpm and maximum torque of 310 Nm at 1,300-3,200 rpm, enabling it to traverse long distances with ease.
With a payload capacity of 2.6 tons, it can carry thousands of vaccines in a single trip without hassle. It also comes with a durable mechanical lock for added protection and security.
The Foton Ref Vans are now available for orders at all authorized Foton dealerships nationwide.
