Suzuki PH's Growth Is Because of These Three Models

Suzuki Philippines, Inc. has been on an upward trajectory since last year. The Japanese automaker is one of the few bright spots in the local auto industry, enough for them to catapult ahead of both Nissan and Hyundai so far this year.

The Philippine auto industry sold 95,197 units in the first four months of 2021. Out of that number, 6,390 units were from Suzuki. Impressively, 1,695 units were sold in April alone. All in all, Suzuki grew 65 percent compared to its 3,879-unit volume during the same period in 2020.

Suzuki’s strong performance is down to three models: the Ertiga, S-Presso, and the Carry. The practical 7-seater MPV moved 1,544 units or 24 percent in the first four months of 2021. This is followed by the most affordable new car in the country—the S-Presso with 1,204 units sold or an 18 percent share. Not far behind is the Carry which sold 1,177 units or another 18 percent. These three models alone comprise 60 percent of Suzuki Philippines’s total sales.

Suzuki says that their continued sales growth despite the prolonged lockdown is a testament to their unwavering commitment in providing Filipinos with only the best automotive services and products.

“Despite the challenging situation, this continuous achievement that Suzuki has been reaping now is a testament of how we remain relentless in our goal to provide quality driving experience to the market,” says SPH Vice President and General Manager for Automobile Division, Keiichi Suzuki.
