Honda has revealed the name of its first new volume battery-electric vehicle in North America: the Prologue.
Due to arrive in the market in early 2024, Honda says they’ll be releasing more information about their upcoming EV SUV in the coming months. For now, they have confirmed that it will ride on a highly-flexible EV platform powered by Ultium batteries based on the company’s strategic partnership with General Motors. It will also spawn a more upscale Acura version as well.
Honda promises that the Prologue will “will provide our customers with a battery-electric SUV with the excellent functionality and packaging they’ve come to expect from Honda.”
Aside from their strategic partnership with General Motors, Honda also plans to launch a new series of EV models in the second half of the decade based on their in-house e:Architecture.
