Lamborghini Is Almost Sold Out For 2021

Lamborghini says its entire 2021 production run is almost all spoken for. This as easing pandemic restrictions has resulted to a free-spending attitude among consumers confined to their homes for months.

According to CEO Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini is poised for strong growth this year, and has sold 10 months of its annual production capacity.

Despite a two-month shutdown due to the pandemic, Lamborghini ended 2020 as its second-best year ever.

This 2021, Lamborghini deliveries have surged by almost 25 percent to a record during the first quarter.

While buyers continue to snap up its high-performance performance cars and SUVs like the Urus (pictured above), Lamborghini is embarking on a transition to electrify its line-up. By 2024, it will offer plug-in hybrid versions of each of its models, and plans to launch its first all-electric vehicle during the second half of the decade.

Supercar makers like Ferrari and Lamborghini have been slow to embrace electrification as these brands have histories steeped in powerful internal combustion engines.
