Metro Manila is loosening its community quarantine restrictions from June 16 to 30. It shifts to “GCQ with Some Restrictions.” The rest of the so-called NCR-Plus—Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite continue under “GCQ with Heightened Restrictions.”
The government’s continued insistence to label its community quarantine classifications will no doubt create confusion yet again.
Simply put, the biggest difference is that the “Some Restrictions” classification will allow certain businesses to open up. This includes gyms and indoor dining which are allowed to operate up to 30 percent capacity (40 percent if they can secure a safety seal from DTI).
Religious activities, including weddings and wakes, are restricted to 30 percent of venue capacity, with the local government given the option to increase the allowed level to 50 percent.
Meanwhile, personal care services not requiring removal of face masks are allowed at 30 percent capacity, with an additional 10 percent if the shop obtains a safety seal.
Metro Manila will impose shorter curfew hours, from 12 midnight to 4 AM starting on June 15.

- Region 11: Davao del Norte
- Region 12 (SOCCSKSARGEN): General Santos City, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, Cotabato, South Cotabato
- BARMM: Lanao del Sur, Cotabato City
