Update: Here it is in full (6/17).
Nissan Australia ready to unleash the “world’s toughest Navara.” And to whet your appetite, they’ve released their first-ever teaser photo: its new front bumper.
Not much could be gathered from this except perhaps that it’s made of steel and that it incorporates auxiliary LED headlights.
Of course, zoom in on the two other photos, and you’ll get a glimpse of the Navara as a work in process on the screens of partner Premcar Principal Engineer for Body Systems, Mark Doody.
Details surrounding this new Navara Warrior program are still shrouded in secrecy, but Nissan did confirm that they will use the Navara PRO-4X as basis. That said, they confirmed that they aim to produce not just Australia’s toughest Navara, but also the world’s.
This isn’t the first time Nissan Australia and Premcar worked on the Navara. Previously, they developed the N-Trek Warrior which gained a 40-mm lift over the standard Navara thanks to a 15-mm suspension lift and 32.2-inch all-terrain tires. It also gained dual-rate rear springs—a feature now standard on the refreshed Navara.
The upcoming PRO-4X Warrior was developed over the course of 12 months. It will be released towards the end of 2021.
