Chery Auto Sets Target Of Exporting 500,000 Vehicles By 2025

Chery Auto has sold more than 424,457 units globally for the first half of 2021, representing an 80.4 percent growth. In June alone, the Chinese carmaker sold 73,098 units for a year-on-year growth of 58.3 percent.

In overseas markets, the sales of Chery’s products has doubled or even quadrupled almost every month this year. From January to June, Chery exported a total of 118,743 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 168.4 percent, exceeding the export volume of 114,000 vehicles last year, and hitting a new record.

In Brazil, Chery's sales volume broke into the Top 10 there, with a year-on-year increase of 207 percent. Its market share there has reached 1.88 percent. In Russia, Chery has always maintained a high-rate of growth, and its sales volume increased by 348 percent on a year-on-year basis in June. In Chile, the sales volume of Chery SUVs has ranked first in the market segment for six consecutive months, with a market share of 11.7 percent. In the Philippines, Chery’s sales grew a staggering 351 percent in the first half.

Chery attributes their strong performance to two products—the Tiggo 7 Pro and the Tiggo 8 Pro. In fact, more of the so-called Pro models will be launched in global markets towards the second half of 2021.

By 2025, Chery has a strategic goal of exporting 500,000 vehicles, amounting to a value of USD 5 billion. This is part of their “Double 50” growth strategy.
