Coventry Motors Corporation, the exclusive distributor of Jaguar vehicles in the Philippines brings in the new 2021 Jaguar XF 2.0 S. Their mid-sized executive sedan features an enhanced exterior as well as a heavily revised interior incorporating new materials and connectivity.
For 2021, the Jaguar XF will be initially available with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine. This version makes 250 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 365 Nm of torque from 1,300 to 4,500 rpm. Power is routed through the rear wheels with an 8-speed automatic. Following the gasoline variant, Jaguar Philippines will also introduce a mild hybrid diesel engine version as well. This powertrain makes 204 horsepower at 4,250 rpm and 430 Nm of torque from 1,750 to 2,500 rpm.
With either engine, the 2021 Jaguar XF gets a heavily restyled front end with larger and lower air intakes for increased visual width. This is further enhanced by a wider front grille that incorporates mesh detailing inspired by Jaguar’s heritage logo. Sandwiching it are new super slim all-LED quad headlights with “Double J” daytime running lights. Meanwhile, the side fender vents now feature the iconic Leaper emblem. At the back, it also gets a wider bumper with a body-colored upper valance and darkened rear light surrounds.
Most of the work though is found inside where the 2021 Jaguar XF focuses on heightened luxury and enhanced connectivity. The revised cabin now incorporates a centrally-mounted 11.4-inch curved-glass high-definition screen that controls the Pivi Pro infotainment system. Meanwhile, the center console also incorporates a wireless device charger.
Shunting the rotary knob, Jaguar has now moved back to a more conventional gear lever, but finished with a unique “cricket ball” stitching.
To help drivers access vital information quickly, new 2021 XF features a new 12.3-inch high-definition Interactive Driver Display with enhanced graphics and a configurable layout which can show full screen navigation mapping with turn-by-turn instructions, digital dials, media, contact list or infotainment details. Working in conjunction with the latest Head-up Display technology, new XF gives drivers all the information they need with least distraction. The intuitive new infotainment system features Apple CarPlay and Android auto as standard.
The Jaguar XF also features Active Road Noise Cancellation technology. The system constantly monitors vibrations from the road surface and calculates the opposite phase sound wave needed to remove the noise heard by the occupants. This means quieter noise levels within the cabin for superior refinement and reduced fatigue, commonly associated with prolonged exposure to low-frequency noise.
The 2021 Jaguar XF also features a full 3D surround camera system providing drivers an enhanced 3D and 360-degree view around the car making parking and maneuvering easier and safer. The updated Meridian sound system now has two new additional center channel speakers giving the system a total of 12 speakers + 1 subwoofer delivering 400W of power with exceptional definition, crystal-clear highs, and full, deep bass.
The 2021 Jaguar XF is now available to order with a suggested retail price of P 4,590,000.
