Subaru PH Fights Inflation By Dropping Prices On 2021 XV, Forester This August

Continuing their 15th Anniversary Deals this month, Motor Image Pilipinas, the exclusive distributor of Subaru is offering the refreshed 2021 Subaru XV, Forester, and 7-seater Evoltis at lower prices.

Until the end of the month, the Subaru XV can be had for P 1.698 million. As a reference, this makes the EyeSight-equipped variant of the compact crossover almost as affordable as it was two years ago (2019 SRP was set at P 1.668 million).

Yet, the 2021 Subaru XV boasts of several upgrades over the old model such as a dual-function X-MODE, SI-DRIVE, 8-inch high-definition infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and enhanced ride comfort thanks to its improved suspension.

On the other hand, customers interested to have something bigger can take home the Forester 2.0i-L EyeSight for as low as P 1.728 million. Again, this makes the mid-spec variant almost as affordable as it was two years ago (2019 SRP was P 1.698 million).

Like the revamped Subaru XV, the current 2021 Forester is now equipped with the Superview Around Recognition 360-degree (SAR360) camera and the same upgraded 8-inch HD infotainment system found in the Subaru XV.

Finally, the all-new Subaru Evoltis 7-seater can be purchased for as low as P 3.380 million this August thanks to a P 100,000 discount from the mid-sized SUV’s launch SRP.

To top it all off, the Evoltis and the all-new Subaru Outback (still available with a P 50,000 introductory discount) is now part of the Subaru Special Frontliners Appreciation Promo along with the Subaru Forester 2.0i-L EyeSight and Subaru XV 2.0i-S EyeSight.

This program gives frontliners, essential workers, and their family members an exclusive P 20,000 discount that may be availed on top of Subaru’s other generous deals for these models.

  1. Hopefully MI rethinks their pricing strategy as the prices have been creeping up significantly over the years. Trying to position the brand as a "premium" alternative when it's definitely not. As much as I love Subaru, they are losing sales in the subcompact crossover and even the compact crossover segment. The cars are utilitarian, very safe, and fun to drive but not upscale in terms of interior and features. They're already using the base engines for the vehicles which honestly has taken the "pep" and "fun" out of the drive. So you just have a niche market and fans left with just a safe car that has nothing premium about it.

  2. Worst part for Subaru is the perception maintenance can burn a whole in the pocket. It's a struggle for Subaru here. Except for their fanboys it's just not in the radar of most car buyers. And because they don't have the sales they rely on the maintenance income thus the reluctance to promote lower maintenance as a come on.

  3. Subaru vehicles Spare Parts are very expensive and are hard to find even in the Supermarket of Vehicles market Banawe not available. That's why most consumers who owned Subaru before don't buy again because of bad experienced.

  4. Yep, MI were ahead of themselves when it came to pricing this new gen lineup. The eyesight was the sinker, commanding at least a 120-150k more. The tech is undoubtedly good, but too much premium for a safety feature that subaru could've led and democratized to standout in those crowded segments. Creature comforts are still outstanding but the recent forester feels too anemic to be personally driven.
