With Lotus now becoming a part of the Geely, there’s a re-shuffle when it comes to their global design team.
Peter Horbury will move to newly-acquired company Lotus as their new senior vice president of design. Meanwhile, Stefan Sielaff will assume the role of Geely’s vice president of global design.
Horbury will assume global oversight for design across the broadening Lotus product portfolio covering both cars and the engineering division. Russell Carr continues his work as design director, working alongside Ben Payne as head of a new Lotus studio in Coventry, UK.
Meanwhile Horbury’s replacement at Geely, Sielaff will oversee the Geely Auto Group portfolio of brands including Geely, Lynk & Co, and Proton.
Sielaff brings over 30 years of car design experience to Geely. He has previously worked at design studios at Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen Group. In 2015, Stefan became the Director of Design for Bentley Motors.
